Software Engineer based in Seattle, WA
about me
I'm a software engineer who cares deeply about simplifying complexity and elevating every aspect of the user experience.
I currently work at Meta building internal tooling and infra that supports people ops at scale. Previously, I was at Amazon developing their tax payments platform.
Outside of work, I'm usually side-questing - finding new coffee shops, reading Substack essays, and checking out whichever game seems the most fun. I also write on a wide range of topics; basically anything that gets stuck in my head long enough to become an essay.
where I've been
Building workflow automation, internal tooling and infra that supports HR/people ops at scale.
I developed Java-based RPC services supporting payments Amazon makes to global tax authorities and helped scale their tax payments platform. Learned a bunch of AWS services, got grilled on my high-level design docs and resolved a truck load of oncall tickets.
I developed event-driven infrastructure that automates backfill detection for open positions. Really liked my team, made a bunch of friends, and went on way too many dessert runs in Seattle.
Got a return offer from previous summer. This time, I helped a banking client integrate and deploy an SSO service for their online banking platform. My intern project won the 'Customer First' award, which was a pleasant surprise :)
My first ever internship! I shipped middleware that bridged legacy monoliths with microservices for banking platforms.
